Fiona and Dan's wedding day took place on a typical spring day in North Yorkshire, with unpredictable weather ranging from heavy showers to brilliant sunshine. When I arrived at the Kings Head Hotel in Richmond, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, the hotel's interior was absolutely perfect for the occasion.

As a North Yorkshire wedding photographer, I've seen my fair share of venues, but the Kings Head Hotel was something else. Despite its unassuming exterior, the hotel boasts a labyrinth of small bars, winding corridors, and grand ballrooms that completely sweep you up.

Heading upstairs to the bridal suite, I had the pleasure of meeting Fiona, her family, and her bridesmaids.

As a photographer, I always feel privileged to be invited into the intimate moments of a wedding day, and Fiona and her bridesmaids were no exception. The energy in the room was electric, with everyone chatting and laughing as they got ready for the big day ahead.

Fiona looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress, and I could tell that she was filled with excitement and anticipation for what was to come. It was clear to me that she and Dan were a perfect match, and I felt honoured to be able to capture their special day.

As a North Yorkshire wedding photographer, I'm always on the lookout for unique and beautiful locations to capture my clients' special day. When I arrived at the Kings Head Hotel in Richmond for Fiona and Dan's wedding, I was struck by the elegance and understated charm of the venue.

After spending a few hours with Fiona and her family, we made our way to the ceremony room. This space was absolutely stunning, with large windows that let in the soft spring sunshine and created a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for Fiona and Dan's special day, and I was thrilled to be able to capture it all on camera.

The ceremony itself was sheer perfection, and it really brought out Fiona's bubbly personality. After the formalities were complete, it was time for canapes and fizz while we waited for a break in the showers to take the group photos. As the Kings Head Hotel doesn't have any grounds, we took a short walk to the local park, which was perfect for capturing candid shots of Fiona walking through Richmond's narrow streets.

Overall, Fiona and Dan's wedding day was a beautiful celebration of love, family, and friendship. After the wedding breakfast I managed to sneak Fiona and Dan away for 30 minutes so we could get some of their photos done. A few weeks before I had found a priory with easy access so while the weather held off I just had to get down there with them.
