Chris and Bev | Sunderland Wedding Photographer
There are not many times a bride will don her wellies and head to the beach when it's pouring with rain, but that’s precisely what Bev decided to do. She wanted those pictures that are so important. Memories!
Memories fade, but photos don’t. That’s why I love photography so much.
Chris and Bev decided to tie the knot in their local church in Seaburn, Sunderland, before heading to the Clarion Hotel on the edges of Sunderland.
I first met Bev at her home with her bridesmaids and family for some low key bridal prep. When photographing the bridal prep, I like blending in and documenting the morning, enough emotions running the air that you don’t need to be posing anyone, just watch and the photos will happen.
This morning was no different. We had the laughs and tears from everyone with the slight panic that always happens on every wedding morning.
Once the serious stuff was over in the church and wedding breakfast was finished, I had about 45 minutes with Bev and Chris. We had planned to head down to Souter Lighthouse, Sunderland to capture some great photos of just the two of them and the stunning Northumberland coastline.
This is the same location that we photographed their pre-wedding photoshoot ( check it out here), so we knew where we were going and what type of wedding photos we wanted. The only problem we had was the torrential rain. This didn’t stop Bev and Chris though which I am so grateful for. Umbrellas and wellies at the ready we decided to head down to the beach. When you get a couple that will trust your gut instinct and follow you in all kinds of weather, it is reassuring. I want to say thank you to Bev and Chris for trusting me!
