Northumberland Wedding Photographer - le petit chateau
Caitlin and Mike
Le Petit Chateau is a luxurious French-inspired country house wedding venue located in Otterburn, Northumberland, UK. The venue is known for its unique and stunning decor, featuring ornate chandeliers, grand fireplaces, and beautifully landscaped gardens.
Le Petit Chateau is a great wedding venue for several reasons. Firstly, its unique decor and setting provide a one-of-a-kind wedding experience that is sure to impress guests. Secondly, the venue offers a range of flexible wedding packages, allowing couples to tailor their wedding to their individual preferences and budget. Finally, the venue's dedicated wedding team is on hand to provide support and guidance throughout the planning process, ensuring that every detail is taken care of and that the wedding day runs smoothly. As a Newcastle photographer, I was frilled to be photographing here for the first time.
Le Petit Chateau - Bridal Prep
I was thrilled when Caitlin and Mike asked me to be their Northumberland wedding photographer for their special day. As an experienced North East wedding photographer, I have captured many beautiful moments at various wedding venues in Northumberland. However, I was particularly excited to photograph their wedding at Le Petit Chateau, a stunning location that I had yet to work at.
Upon arriving on the morning of the wedding, I was greeted by Caitlin and her bridesmaids, who were relaxing in one of the apartment suites. It was clear that Caitlin was completely at ease, which always makes my job as a Northumberland wedding photographer much more enjoyable. After some time, we moved to the grand bridal suite, which boasted high ceilings and grand windows that looked out over the picturesque French-inspired courtyard. I captured stunning shots of Caitlin as she added the final touches to her makeup.
During the bridal prep, I always try to remain unobtrusive and stay out of the way. I understand that brides can feel anxious on their wedding day, and the last thing they need is a camera in their faces. A bride doesn't need to be thinking about her wedding photos just before walking down the aisle. As a professional North East wedding photographer, I believe in creating a comfortable and relaxed environment, so that my clients can enjoy their special day without feeling self-conscious.
Once Caitlin was ready I managed to capture a few photos of her because I absolutely love the bridal room at Le Petit Chateau and the light that enters. It makes for great portrait photos.
On to the Ceremony
As a Newcastle photographer, I must say that the ceremony room at Le Petit Chateau is truly magnificent and perfect for Northumberland weddings. This classic French-inspired venue boasts a light and airy atmosphere with windows flanking down the sides and sparkling chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, creating a grand ambience that is perfect for capturing stunning wedding photos.
Having photographed numerous Northumberland weddings over the years, I can confidently say that this region always delivers exceptional venues that surpass their competition. Le Petit Chateau is undoubtedly one of my favourite places to photograph, and its charm and elegance make it an ideal choice for couples seeking a luxurious and romantic wedding experience in the North East.
I watched on as Caitlin and Mike exchanged their wedding vows and made that ultimate commitment to each other. The whole ceremony was filled with so much emotion, it was a beautiful wedding.
The Secret Garden
Le Petit Chateau's stunning grounds filled me with excitement as I explored them, despite the less-than-ideal weather for late summer. Despite the occasional rays of sunlight filtering through the broken clouds, every turn offered a new opportunity that is not often available to a North East photographer.
Fortunately, I managed to seize the moment and capture some stunning portraits of Caitlin and Mike in the amazing light before it disappeared for the day. We took advantage of a secret garden located at the back of the courtyard, which follows the winding river into the Northumberland countryside.
The portrait session provided the perfect opportunity for the happy couple to spend quality time together, away from the wedding party. As a photographer, I always encourage my clients to take a step back and soak in the atmosphere of their special day.
Once we had taken enough portraits, Caitlin and Mike returned to their guests in the beautiful courtyard while I continued exploring and capturing candid photos. As a documentary wedding photographer, I find it crucial to tell the story of the couple's wedding day.
Food, glorious food
Not long after Caitlin and Mike's wedding guests had taken their seats for the wedding breakfast, the Northumberland wedding photographer captured the unbelievable scene of the courtyard as its stunning backdrop. The couple and their guests were ushered inside and Mike's wedding party delivered a mixture of funny and heartfelt speeches, drawing laughter and happy tears from the audience.
As the celebrations continued, Caitlin and Mike cut their wedding cake before moving on to their first dance. As a documentary wedding photographer, the photographer knew the importance of getting in the thick of it on the dance floor. Believing in capturing the true essence of the wedding, the photographer didn't stand on the sidelines but instead got in the centre of the action to tell the real story through their lens.
